Bombardier Regional Aircraft have bumper Farnborough

At Farnborough, Bombardier Aerospace has announced 142 firm orders worth US$3.1 billion for its existing regional aircraft programmes and an additional 34 orders and Letters of Agreement (LoA) for the newly launched CRJ900 worth US$1 billion.

Including previously announced orders since January 1, 2000, Bombardier Aerospace has obtained firm orders for 273 aircraft, worth approximately US$6.0 billion (so far this year. These consist of 234 CRJs and 39 Q Series turboprops.

In addition, 554 conditional orders and options worth approximately US$12.0 billion have also been registered. These commitments have come from 18 different operators, seven of which are new customers.

New firm orders totaling 142 aircraft announced today for existing regional aircraft programmes include:

  • Delta Connection (US): 79 CRJ200, 25 CRJ700 ú
  • China Yunnan Airlines: 10 CRJ200 ú
  • Shandong Airlines (China): 10 CRJ700 ú
  • Brit Air (France): 8 CRJ700 ú
  • SAS Commuter (Denmark): 6 Q400 ú
  • Tyrolean Airways (Austria): 1 Q400 ú
  • UNI Air (Taiwan): 1 Q300 ú
  • Undisclosed: 1 Q200, 1 Q300

CRJ900 orders and LoAs:

  • Brit Air (France): 4 CRJ900 firm orders (8 options) ú
  • Tyrolean Airways (Austria): 12 CRJ900 LoAs ú
  • Air Nostrum (Spain): 8 CRJ900 LoAs ú
  • GECAS (US): 10 CRJ900 firm orders (20 options)

Transactions announced earlier this year include:

  • GECAS (US): 15 CRJ200, 25 CRJ700, ú
  • Air Nostrum (Spain): 14 CRJ200, 29 Q300 ú
  • Horizon (US): 5 CRJ700 ú
  • Air Dolomiti (Italy): 3 CRJ200 ú
  • Shanghai Airlines (China): 3 CRJ200 ú
  • J-Air (Japan): 2 CRJ200 ú
  • Tyrolean (Austria): 1 CRJ200
