Bell Helicopter Adds ITT Industries to 'Team One'

22 June 2001

Bell Helicopter, a Textron company, and ITT Industries have agreed to pursue, cooperatively, international market opportunities related to Bell's AH-1Z.

As a member of Bell's "Team One," ITT Industries is providing the AN/ALQ-211 Suite of Integrated RF Countermeasures (SIRFC) as an advanced survivability suite option.

The SIRFC system increases situational awareness, sensor fusion, threat warning, and electronic countermeasures capabilities. The system's features have been integrated into Bell's AH-1Z cockpit demonstrator that is on display at this year's Paris Air Show and will be on display at other international venues.

The AH-1Z Super-Cobra is the attack helicopter portion of the US Marine Corps H-1 Upgrade Program

Bell Helicopter previously integrated SIRFC into the CV-22 Osprey tiltrotor for the US Air Force Special Operations Command. Two CV-22 Osprey aircraft are currently in flight test at Edwards AFB, California.ITT Industries is scheduled to deliver the first SIRFC production system in 2002.
