AMS - ASI to supply ILS and DME systems to Egypt and Congo

AMS - ASI has signed two contracts for the supply of air navigation systems to Egypt and Congo.

The first contract was awarded by the National Air Navigational Services Company of Egypt to supply three ILS Model 2100 (Instrument Landing Systems), together with three DME (Distance Measuring Equipment). Two systems will be operational at Cairo International Airport and the third system will be installed in Asyut.

The award follows on from a contract awarded in 2002 for the delivery of ILS and DME systems for the Abu Simbel and Asyut airports in Egypt. The total value of both contracts is approximately $3 million.

The second contract is to supply the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, with two VOR (VHF Omni-directional Range), four DME and two ILS Model 2100. The contract, through Aeronav of Canada, is worth over $1 million.
