INRI UK to provide C4I Software for new German Navy shipsJune 13th, 1999
INRI UK Ltd., a subsidiary of Logicon Inc. will supply the command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) software to be used in the Combat Management System of new German F-124 class ships. STN Atlas Elektronik GmbH of Bremen, Germany, is the prime contractor for the Command Control and Information System, which directs the combat management, communications and weapons functions aboard these new German frigates. INRI UK will provide STN Atlas with 21 licenses for INRI C4I Software (ICS) and supply integration support. The contract is valued at more than $500,000. There is also potential for additional ICS sales as the two companies are cooperating on bids to retrofit existing and future German Navy ship classes. ICS supports messaging and communications, tracking and correlation, geographic representations, decision-making and planning and can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements. INRI UK's US parent company, Inter-National Research Institute, developed the Defence Information Infrastructure Common Operating Environment (DII COE) for the US Department of Defence. This is the core software behind ICS, which is the standard system in use throughout the US Navy, the Royal Navy and NATO. INRI UK provides exportable products available to US allies in order to facilitate the interoperability essential for effective coalition and multinational operations. REF XQQEE XQQAS XQQSA
